thanks to melissa i got to see Looped on broadway last night, starring, my all time favorite tv icon (besides oprah)
VALERIE HARPER!
she does a great job in the play, lots of funny lines in there! i wish i remembered some- but honestly my blog is G rated and none of the lines were HAHAHHA.

here we are with valerie- i told her that melissa and i fight over who can be the rhoda and she assured us that we both are rhodas! she was very sweet and gracious, a true tv icon!!!

pixelation, pottery & wendy- OH MY!

this weekend i am baby baby babysitting overnight style for the 3 peeps in my latest pixelation illustration! here it is, click to enlarge. (ps it's a bday gift for their mom, so for those that know her don't say you saw it yet LOL)

i am excited to say that since pixelation has been launched, i've had VERY little free time to do personal pieces, but since a few major deadlines have just been met I was able to squeeze this one in and i'm kinda in love with it. i also have a few personal pieces as gifts on the horizon :-)

also, last saturday (not sure if i mentioned?!) but my friend meg and i painted pottery...turns out that is one of the best ways ever to spend a saturday! AND we had a coupon! i picked up my pieces once they dried..i made a vase and a mug...here they are...and i see lots more pottery painting in my future...


this was a really really busy week for me, but also a really good one!

and well, it's not quiiittttteeee spring yet BUT i did notice that it wasn't PITCH BLACK at 6pm tonight so i vote, IT IS ALMOST SPRING!

a weekend update, valentine's style!

j'adore long weekends. yay for the presidents giving me a day off of work! :-)
i spent the day with ye ol' dvr, catching up with the gals...



this weekend i saw two movies this weekend!! a single man was amazing. you can totally tell it was made by a designer. every single shot of the film is a work of art. and valentine's day...um, was horrible BUUUUTTTT i'd be lying if i said i didn't really like it. hahah. sometimes a cheesy, predictable, horribly acted movie is just perfect!


and of course, it was valentine's day...i hope your day was filled with love...here are some snaps from mine...




and i must note that last year, valentine's day was spent with my mom at hospital visiting hours visiting my dad. annnd i couldn't be happier to share this photo, one year later.

and although i couldn't be there, lots of my family was at a hospital for a much better reason this weekend.

tonight...

7 pixelation very large pieces will be displayed at a batmitzvah in long island. i am SO excited to see them presented as decor for a party!!! here they are before they were picked on up and taken to the party planner. they're in an office, so it's a bit hard to tell the scale, but the desk they are leaning against comes up to my waist to give you an idea! and the portrait of the baby that is hanging on the wall is huge in real life, i think 30x30 so that gives you some sort of perspective! i'll share more pics from the party when i have some!!!
